Learn How to Make Festive Fall Sangria

While sangria is often enjoyed as a refreshing summer drink, with the right tweaks it can be served as a festive fall cocktail as well! The best part is, a fall sangria is ideal to serve as a fun Thanksgiving cocktail. It's as simple as adding spiced apple cider to Spanish wine.

As Sabrina Soto demonstrates in the video above, start by spicing up some apple cider. Pour cider, sugar, cinnamon sticks, allspice, ground cloves and oranges into a pot. Let the aromatic mixture simmer. While that cooks, get the wine ready.

Pour the wine into a pitcher. Sabrina recommends any Spanish wine, particularly a Tempranillo. Then, add the orange juice and brandy. (Make sure the orange juice isn't too pulpy!) Once the apple cider has cooled, strain the mixture and add it to the pitcher. Garnish the drink with cut oranges and apples, and serve it in glasses with ice. This is a great cocktail to make for Thanksgiving dinner!
