Krispy Kreme Unveils 3 New Caramel and Chocolate Doughnuts

Goodbye key lime pie doughnuts, hello caramel and chocolate doughnuts!

Today, Krispy Kreme adds three new limited-edition flavors, Caramel Chocolate Chip Cake, Caramel Chocolate Pretzel and Dark Chocolate Caramel Kreme, to their line of doughnuts. These featured flavors use Ghirardelli brand chocolate and are only available until Sept. 1.

Caramel Chocolate Chip Cake is a Ghirardelli cocoa-infused cake doughnut dipped in caramel icing and peppered with Ghirardelli chips.

Salted caramel lovers will love the Caramel Chocolate Pretzel. Filled with a blend of chocolate "kreme" and Ghirardelli chocolate sauce, this doughnut is drizzled with caramel icing and sprinkled with salty pretzel bits on top.

Dark Chocolate Caramel Kreme has a Ghirardelli caramel sauce blend "kreme" filling and is topped with swirled design of dark chocolate and caramel icing.

Coinciding with the release of Wendy's new Pretzel Bacon Cheeseburger, it seems like the salty pretzel is having its moment in fast food.
