1. Tiny Skillet
"I have a little tiny skillet for one egg, and I use that all the time. A lot of mornings, Matt has already left for work, so I’ll make an egg over-easy," Haylie tells us. These colorful casserole egg pans are the perfect size for a breakfast for one!
"I love fresh vegetables in my salad," shares Haylie, which is why a mandoline, perfect for neatly slicing food, is one of her essentials. This one from Kyocera easily adjusts to four different widths and boasts a super sharp blade.
Haylie had a specific garlic press in mind that she loves. "It isn’t a normal one - it looks like a boat," she describes. This sleek tool crushes cloves with ease, plus its made of stainless steel which is thought to remove the smell of garlic!
Haylie describes a lemon squeezer as "one of those tools from the '80s", but she admits, "I use my lemon squeezer all the time." She even adds that she occasionally packs it in her luggage when traveling! Brighten up your kitchen with this cheery citrus reamer!
Haylie loves to cook with kale, but prepping the leafy green can be tricky. "You have to wash it so well. Kale holds a lot of water," reveals Haylie, which is why a salad spinner is an indispensable tool. We recommend this one-handed salad spinner with an easy knob that you press for spinning and a built-in break!
