What kitchen tools should every cook own? Top Chef's Fabio Viviani shares his five favorite things to cook with.

1. Bialetti Aeternum “Fabio Signature Series” Ceramic Deep Sauté Pan

Fabio partnered up with the popular Italian cookware brand to release this "very versatile pan" stateside. "It’s deep enough to cook pasta, and [you can] sauté chicken in the same pan.” The extra thick aluminum base and beautiful white nonstick ceramic interior marries form and function.

4. Vitamix

“You don’t need much else if you have a quart of chicken and a Vitamix to make soup,” Fabio tells us. This heavy-duty appliance has five pre-programmed settings that make it easy to prepare hot soups, frozen desserts, smoothies and purées.

5. Electronic Scale

“Time to throw away all those little cups, and get yourself a scale,” says Fabio. We love this colorful kitchen scale for its clear display and easy-to-clean glass surface.
