How to Cook Pasta in 60 Seconds

It can be a challenge to have dinner on the table after a long day. Pasta is an easy dish to make, and is definitely an ideal quick dinner solution since all it really demands is a pot of boiling water and a few other ingredients to toss in with your noodles. While pasta is a main dish that can be made quickly, there's still that waiting time while the pasta cooks. Wouldn't it be amazing if pasta was magically ready in a minute or less?

It turns out, that's possible! You can actually make pasta in 60 seconds. Chef James from KnowMore.TV knows how. All you need to do to have your noodles ready in a minute is soak them overnight. Take any shape of noodles and place the amount you want to serve in a bowl of water to sit out overnight. The water helps to break down the texture of the pasta, which gives the pasta a ghostly white appearance.

However, the color goes back to normal once you're ready to eat and you toss those soggy noodles into a pot of boiling water. All you have to do after the pasta is done soaking is bring a pot of water to a boil and add salt. Add the soaked pasta to the boiling water for 60 seconds, which will cook the starches in the pasta and return them to their normal color. Once cooked, add the pasta to your favorite sauce, and dinner is ready!
