Girl Scouts Unveil Three New Cookies (Including Gluten-Free Options!)

The Girl Scouts have become pretty famous for their cookies and yearly cookie sales, and this season the organization is unveiling three new cookie flavors!

Now, those who are gluten-free can enjoy Girl Scout cookies as well—two of the new cookie options are gluten-free. According to the organization's website, "Millions of Americans have problems eating food with gluten—and now there is a Girl Scout Cookie just for them!"

Toffee-tastics are gluten-free butter cookies that come filled with pieces of toffee. Trios are gluten-free butter cookies filled with peanut butter, oats and chocolate chips. The third cookie the Girl Scouts are debuting is an oatmeal raisin cookie called Rah-Rah Raisins, which contains Greek-yogurt flavored chunks, raisins and oats.

According to CNN, around 1.5 million Girl Scouts sell about 200 million boxes of cookies annually, starting in January. The Girl Scouts tradition of selling cookies has been going on for 98 years, but this is the first year the Girl Scouts will be selling cookies online.

This new move to include gluten-free options further solidifies the growing trend. Gluten-free was one of the most Googled diets of 2014, and it doesn't appear to be going anywhere soon. However, if going gluten-free isn't your thing, the Girl Scouts are still selling the classic fan favorites like Thin Mints and Samoas for you to indulge in.
