General Mills To Release More Discontinued Monster Cereals For Halloween

Halloween will provide some nostalgic treats this year....in the cereal aisle that is.

General Mills has announced that they will release several discontinued "Monster" classics for the Halloween season. Frute Brute (once Fruit Brute), which has been unavailable since 1988 and Fruity Yummy Mummy, which hasn't been enjoyed since 1993, will be returning to the cereal aisle right in time for Trick-or-Treating. Moreover Target plans to sell the cereals in their original packaging for a fully nostalgic experience. Other cereal boxes will feature cereal horror movie themes!

Cereals like Count Chocula, Frankenberry and Boo Berry have returned to stores during Halloween for a few years now. This tradition has seemed to garner enough of a following to release more discontinued cereals.

The only thing that would make this news even better is if the Halloween specials included a glow-in-the-dark bowl in the package!
