As we looked forward to the new Superman movie Man of Steel's debut today, we wondered what the ultimate superhero eats. Many would assume the rugged, larger-than-life character would thrive off a diet of steak and potatoes but, in Mark Waid's Superman: Birthright, Clark Kent is actually depicted as a vegetarian. Waid wrote him this way so the character's diet remained in-line with his innate need to protect life, according to DC Comics Database.
