Doritos-Flavored Mountain Dew Exists

Recently, a photograph of a Doritos-flavored Mountain Dew tasting event at Kent State University was posted on Reddit. The poster explained that the drink — fittingly called Dewitos — was being given out and that, "It actually tasted like Doritos."

This is not the first product that Doritos has added its flavor to. The Doritos Locos Tacos at Taco Bell have gone on to be one of the best-selling items in the taco chain's history. Doritos also hoped to top more products with its chips.

Time Magazine spoke with a Mountain Dew spokesperson to find out more about the latest product, which seems to be undergoing testing amongst university students. "We are always testing out new flavors of Mountain Dew, and giving our fans a voice in helping decide on the next new product has always been important to us. We opened up the DEW flavor vault and gave students a chance to try this Doritos-inspired flavor as part of a small program at colleges and universities."

The Reddit poster added a description of what the drink was really like, saying, "It tasted like orange with a Doritos aftertaste. It tasted like straight Doritos afterwards, though. Weirdest thing I've ever drunken."
