Amazon is known for shipping a variety of goods all over the world, but now the giant company is trying its hand at food delivery! Read on to learn about Amazon's new food delivery and takeout service.

Over Thanksgiving weekend, Amazon launched a takeout and delivery service option, which is currently only live in Seattle, Washington.

The service will allow customers to order food from restaurants and charge them to their Amazon accounts.

Customers can browse restaurant menus, make their choices, then input their addresses (for delivery) and add the order to delivery much like Seamless or GrubHub.

Over 100 Seattle restaurants have partnered with Amazon for the takeout and delivery service.

Amazon is a giant in the delivery world, able to ship a variety of items from toothpaste and furniture to even cars, all over the world. While Amazon has already made its mark in the food world with AmazonFresh, the shopping destination now plans to try its hand at food takeout and delivery through its local commerce service Amazon Local.
