Thin Mint Girl Scout Cookie Shortage Causing Delivery Delays

It seems everyone's trying to get their hands on some Thin Mints this year. The high demand for the Girl Scout cookie favorite has led to a shortage!

Yes, you read that correctly. It may take a bit longer for your order to arrive this year due to a back order on Thin Mints. Little Brownie Bakers, one of the company's that makes Thin Mints, has received so many orders this year that it can't keep up, causing a delay in production. According to ABC News, Little Brownie Bakers rescheduled deliveries to the affected troops from March 16 to March 21.

However, just 6 percent of the Girl Scouts' 112 councils have been affected by the back order, so chances are, you likely won't have a problem obtaining your boxes of Thin Mints, Samoas and Tagalongs on time. Plus, the delay doesn't apply to online orders. So if you're expecting cookies from an order you purchased online, you shouldn't have reason to worry.
