The 5-Ingredient Chocolate Chip Cookie Recipe

Five ingredients and 25 minutes is all you need to whip together a couple dozen of these flourless cookies! The secret ingredient? Almond butter! It replaces the flour and butter in the chocolate chip cookie recipes you're used to. If you prefer another nut butter, you can also use peanut or cashew butter in place of the almond butter here.

To make these super simple stir-together cookies, combine one cup of natural almond butter, 1/2 cup of packed light brown sugar, two eggs, 1/4 teaspoon of course salt (to bring out the nuttiness), and one cup of semi-sweet chocolate chips in a bowl. Use a spatula to work all of the ingredients of this dump-and-stir cookie together.

To make each cookie round and evenly sized, you can use a small tablespoon-sized ice cream scoop to measure each cookie out onto a parchment-lined baking sheet. The cookies don't spread very much, so you can get a lot of them on one sheet. Make sure you get chocolate chips in each scoop!

Then, pop them into a 350-degree oven until they're puffed and the tops are set, which will take about 10 minutes.

You'll never miss the flour and butter in this gluten-free treat! Watch the video above to see how to make these simple 5-ingredient chocolate chip cookies!
