This Florida 'fboy' is the frontrunner to be the show villain on 'FBOY Island' season 3

Spoiler alert: This article contains spoilers for episodes one and two of "FBOY Island" season 3.

The CW’s “FBOY Island” may not have the cult following that ABC’s “The Bachelor” does. But enough eyes were on the first two seasons — which went straight to HBO Max — for it to be renewed for a third season. And the first two episodes aired back-to-back on Monday.

The show, which host Nikki Glaser has called “the realest reality show on TV,” now releases weekly on cable, replacing “The Bachelor’s” coveted Monday night reality dating slot.

“FBOY Island” has taken the question all reality dating show contestants can’t stop asking the camera and makes it the point of the game: “Who’s here for love and who’s here for the clout?”

Three women date around a sea of self-proclaimed "fboys" and "nice guys." If they end up with a nice guy, they split $100,000 and walk home with a new relationship. If they end up with an fboy, they might get robbed of the prize money and broken up with. And the women don't know who is who.

Former Bachelorette Katie Thurston is one of the three women on the show and already made a strong connection (well, strong for reality TV) with Vince Xu, who made his reality dating show debut in June 2022 on Amazon Prime Video’s “The One That Got Away.”

But the contestant that made the biggest splash on the episode is new to reality TV and a Floridian, of course.

Here’s a recap of how Jared from Miami established himself as a frontrunner to become the villain in the first two episodes of “FBOY Island” season 3, which premiered on Monday, October 16.

Who is on ‘FBOY Island’ season 3?

Of the two dozen “Nice guys” and “F-boys” that are on the island in season three, two are from Florida. Steven, a 23-year-old “finance bro” from St. Pete, didn't get a ton of air time in the first two episodes but he did make his presence known.

We saw one short, awkward conversation between him and one of the women, but his biggest moment was when he called one of the guys out for lying to the women. He was put in the hot seat when one of the women was deciding whether to eliminate him or another contestant, who Steven knew lied to everyone about his age.

He did give the camera a gem of a line, though, which makes us wonder: Is he an fboy?

"Women don't want the cute guy, they want the sexy guy,” Steven said with a laugh. “Let's be honest."

But Florida’s other contestant, who says he’s from Miami, has made quite the debut in the first two episodes. Jared has already started sowing seeds of doubt among the other men in the house, told the camera that he’s there as an fboy and was the first man to score a date with former snowboarder and current influencer Daniella Grace.

Who is Jared from ‘FBOY Island?’

Jared Gordon-Anderson is a 24 year-old model who told the show’s producers that he is from Miami. He does live in Miami, but he’s originally from Framingham, Massachusetts.

And Jared has made it clear, in record time for the show, that he didn’t come all the way to a villa in California for love. He’s there for the game.

“We’re here to play a game, so we’ll see how it goes,” he told the camera.

He got into a tiff with one of the other contestants, Marco, about stealing time with former bachelorette Katie Thurston before zeroing in on Daniella. Marco later called Jared “very aggressive” in a conversation with the rest of the men and Katie, with whom he went on a date.

“I’m a relationship dude,” he told Daniella, before wooing her with his Portuguese skills.

But what he told the camera couldn’t have been further from what he shared with her. He explained his plan to “just pick one.” He deemed Daniella to be the easiest to get.

"Going into this, I knew just being myself Daniella was (going to) fall in love with me and it seems like the plan is going into action,” he said.

Daniella’s definitely suspicious of his fboy behavior, but that didn’t stop her from choosing Jared to accompany her on her first date of the season.

"The way I already feel about Jared is already a little bit scary, just from the first night," she told the other women and host Nikki Glaser.

Did Jared from ‘FBOY Island’ play football?

Jared wasn’t a football player but he did play basketball in college for Framingham State University Rams.

Where was ‘FBOY Island’ filmed?

Although the villas look nicer this season than they did in the first two, the location is a major step down. “FBOY Island” season 3 was filmed throughout Los Angeles County, whereas the first two seasons took place in the Cayman Islands and Cabo, respectively.

Where can I watch ‘FBOY Island’ season 3?

“FBOY Island” is no longer available to stream on HBO Max, but episodes are available on demand with The CW and on The CW’s app for free the Tuesday after they air.

You can watch “FBOY Island” live on The CW on Monday nights at 8 p.m. EST.
