Oppenheimer actress Florence Pugh made her grand arrival to the Oscars red carpet, and she went for a true statement look. She wore a Del Core partially transparent corset top with a matching silk skirt.

Pugh is at the Oscars tonight with the cast and crew of Oppenheimer. The film received a whopping 13 nominations, including Best Picture, Best Director, Best Actor (Cillian Murphy), Best Supporting Actor (Robert Downey Jr.), and Best Supporting Actress (Emily Blunt).

At the 2023 Oscars, Pugh had two fabulous looks. For the red carpet and ceremony, she wore a Valentino Couture look featuring teeny black shorts underneath a gray top with dramatic, billowing off-the-shoulder sleeves and a pleated sweetheart-neckline that cascaded into a long train. She also wore towering black platform heels and accessorized with a twinkling statement necklace and pink gemstone earrings by Tiffany & Co.

Pugh was one step ahead of the bow trend, tying two dainty black bows into her updo.

For the Vanity Fair Oscar after-party that year, she slipped into another Valentino Couture look of a similar vibe, wearing black wide-leg trousers with a black 3D rosette bra-top. She topped it off with an extravagant dusty-pink, hooded, floor-length coat that gathered at her feet in a train.

Regarding her role in Oppenheimer as Jean Tatlock, Pugh spoke about being told ahead of time it would be a relatively small part. “I didn’t really know what was going on or what it was that was being made,” Pugh told MTV UK of when she was approached about the project by director Christopher Nolan. “Except I knew that Chris really, really wanted me to know that it wasn’t a very big role, and he understands if I don’t want to come near it. And I was like, ‘Doesn’t matter. Even if I’m a coffee maker at a café in the back of the room, let’s do it.’”

She met Nolan for a drink in New York. “I remember he apologized about the size of the role. I was like, ‘Please don’t apologize,’” she said. “And then he said, ‘We’ll send you the script, and honestly, you just read it and decide if it’s like…I completely understand the sizing thing.’ And I remember that evening when I got the script being like, ‘I don’t need to…I know I’m going to do it.’ So yeah, it was huge.”
