The Flash TV series may be over but it hasn't taken long for Grant Gustin's next project to drop: a romantic comedy called Puppy Love.

The trailer for the Amazon Freevee and Buzzfeed Studios film has dropped, showing us what we can expect from the film and there are a lot of cute dogs.

In the film, Gustin plays Max, a man who lives by strictly-defined rules and finds it hard to connect to people due to his "issues", while Pretty Little Liars' Lucy Hale plays a woman named Nicole, who thrives on chaos.

The two go on a date, bringing their dogs with them. Although they don't get along, their dogs that join them get along quite well...

Soon enough, Max learns that his pooch has gotten pregnant from the one afternoon in the park, and they decide to keep Nicole's dog around during the pregnancy to make it go as smoothly as possible.

Along the way, the duo try to get their dogs to recreate the spaghetti scene from Lady in the Tramp, make a lot of co-parent jokes, and wind each other up.

As you'd absolutely expect, Max and Nicole end up bonding despite their differences and fall for each other. Will they admit their feelings and get together? Most likely, but let's pretend it could go either way.

After nine seasons, The Flash ended on a happy note for the character and the Arrowverse in general. However, production briefly took a bad turn as Gustin tested positive for COVID right before the last day of filming.

"I didn't get COVID for three years, and we were six days away from finishing and I somehow got COVID. And God bless them, they somehow made it work and shifted some things around on the schedule," he recalled.

"We shut down for a day. I was just so close to the finish line and ended up having to do the full 10-day quarantine because I was still testing positive. And I felt fine! I just had to sit at home and wait to do my last few days for a while."

Puppy Love will be released on Amazon Freevee on August 18.
