‘Flash’ actor Ezra Miller charged with felony burglary in Vermont

Ezra Miller has been charged with burglary in Vermont, the latest legal drama the superhero actor has faced in recent months.

Miller is accused of sneaking into a home in Stamford the evening of May 1 and making off with “several bottles of alcohol,” state police said Monday. No one was inside the residence, owned by Isaac Winokur, at the time.

A review of evidence, including surveillance video taken from the home, pointed authorities to the 29-year-old actor, who was hit with a count of felony burglary into an unoccupied dwelling.

The “Justice League” actor was issued a summons on Sunday for an appearance in Vermont Superior Court Bennington Criminal Division on Sept. 26.

Miller, who stars as the Flash in DC’s forthcoming blockbuster, has made headlines in recent months over their unruly behavior. The actor, who identifies as non-binary and uses “they/them” pronouns, is also known for their roles in “Perks of Being a Wallflower,” “Trainwreck” and “Fantastic Beasts,” the wildly successful Harry Potter spin-off franchise.

Miller has most recently faced legal trouble while in Hawaii, where they were twice arrested — the first time in March for an alleged drunken incident at a karaoke bar and then again in April for throwing a chair at a 26-year-old woman.

Also, two orders of protection have been granted against Miller in recent weeks — one prohibiting them from contacting a 12-year-old in Massachusetts and one for Tokata Iron Eyes, an 18-year-old activist who lived in Standing Rock. Her parents, Chase Iron Eyes and Sara Jumping Eagle, have accused the actor of grooming Tokata, who is non-binary, and then engaging in an abusive relationship with them.

Tokata has repeatedly denied that Miller has ever been abusive. In a statement to Insider this week, they said the allegations against the actor are “a disgusting and irresponsible smear campaign,” and that Miller “in multiple cases has done the right thing and stood in protection of others.”
