Fla. man arrested after ‘heated’ and bloody dispute over Tom Brady

A Florida man was arrested this week after he was left “enraged” by a dispute concerning star quarterback Tom Brady.

Brian Paulter, 33, has been charged with domestic battery in the Sunday offense, which occurred while he and his friends were heading back to his home in St. Petersburg after a day of drinking with friends, according to court records obtained Tuesday by The Smoking Gun.

“A heated argument regarding Tom Brady began” and an intoxicated Paulter “became enraged,” according to the document.

Upon arriving home, he and a pal, whose name was redacted in the outlet’s publication of the document, “became physical.” Paulter struck his friend “multiple times in the facial area, causing visible facial injuries and allot [sic] of blood,” according to the records.

When he went back in his home, Paulter “became combative” with the man’s wife, who he shoved along with his own wife. She fell and hit her head on the kitchen counter, the document notes.

The friend’s wife sustained “a very large contusion on her forehead” and a “large laceration,” according to the document.

Police noted “a large amount of blood” was found on the kitchen floor, though it had mostly been cleaned up prior to their arrival.

Paulter has since been released from county jail on his own recognizance and ordered to have no contact with his wife, according to the outlet. He will also need to wear an ankle bracelet which tracks his blood alcohol levels.

The 43-year-old quarterback left the New England Patriots in 2019 and last year began his career with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
