Joanna Gaines is back at it again with another fabulous redesign. Her latest project might just encourage us to finally finish our long forgotten decorating projects or, at least, rid the sink of dirty dishes.

Most of Gaines's projects seem just a touch unattainable without extensive experience in construction, but her new series, Mini Reni, showcases projects that might actually be doable for the average home renovation novice. In the show, Joanna must redesign three rooms in one week for under $15,000. The catch? No construction or demo allowed.

Gaines took to Instagram to show off her first mini redesign for the new show: a historic home from the 1930s. "We gave ourselves one week to tackle three rooms of this charming 1930’s home — the Living, Dining, and Breakfast Nook. The homeowner wanted us to play with color and pattern, so we kept that top of mind while focusing on additions that would highlight the home’s existing character. Head to the link in my bio to see all the before + afters, DIY’s, and to shop the space,” Gaines wrote.

There were some mixed reviews of the modern design (a bit different from her classic style), but the Gaines fan club showed up in the comments in overwhelming numbers.

They said:

  • "More of these please! This is how most ppl do their homes. ❤️"

  • "Loved the show!! Loved the colors you picked, the wallpaper & the crown molding. Such an amazing transformation without any demo involved. So inspiring! 💕💕"

  • "Hard to pick my favorite room —they’re all so good!!!! 🙌”

  • "YOU are SO TALENTED. The way you put things together- wallpaper plants- tile. I love it all ♥️”

  • "I absolutely love this!! Love this whole idea. Great job, Joanna!!! ❤️❤️”

"I hope you see with this mini reni that you can just do one or two simple things to really transform a space. I'm ready for the next one!," Gaines told Elle Decor. Of course, you can keep up with all Joana's new mini projects by streaming the show on Discovery+ or Max. You can also shop each design from the show on the Magnolia website.
