Five stolen bases and more: Vote for the Cape Cod High School Baseball Player of the Week
Welcome to our latest Cape Cod and Islands High School Player of the Week Poll.
High school sports fans can vote for which baseball players they think were standouts during the previous week.
The poll will be open from Thursday through Wednesday. The winner will be announced on Thursday along with the new poll. Votes are unlimited.

Votes must be cast via the Cape Cod Times website/mobile sites. Votes submitted via email and social media will NOT be accepted. To vote for this week's Player of the Week, scroll down on this page.

Gavin Desley, Dennis-Yarmouth
Desley won his first poll of the season as he struck out nine allowing one hit over six scoreless innings for the win, for his first career win as the Dolphins beat Sturgis 6-1.
This week's candidates
Chase Beach, Nauset
Beach went the distance for the 4-0 shutout over Bristol Plymouth, allowing three hits and striking out 11.
Ethan Beer, Nauset
Beer had a hit and three RBIs in a win over Duxbury.
Colin Buckley, St. John Paul II
Buckley was 3-for-3 with two doubles in a 3-0 win over Abington.
Alex Finn, Dennis-Yarmouth
Finn finished 3-for-3 with two doubles and four RBIs in a 11-1 win over Marshfield.
Sladen Johnson, Barnstable
Johnson pitched a complete game, allowed two runs and struck out 10, and scored the lone run for the Red Hawks, in a loss to Boston College High School.
Owen Jones, Barnstable
Jones was 3-for-3 at the plate with an RBI, two stolen bases, and three runs scored in a 12-2 win over Doherty Memorial.
Trey McPherson, Dennis-Yarmouth
McPherson went 2-for-4 at the plate with three runs and five stolen bases, and pitched six innings and allowed one run for D-Y in a win over Marshfield.
John Richard, Dennis-Yarmouth
Richard ended his day 1-for-2 with a walk, three RBIs, and two runs scored as the Dolphins beat Marshfield.
Tyler Ross, St. John Paul II
Ross led the Lions on the mound as he pitched a complete game, allowing one hit, one run, and striking out 10 in a victory over Abington.
Jack Tarbox, Barnstable
Tarbox threw all five innings, allowed two runs, and struck out seven for Barnstable in a 12-2 win over Doherty Memorial. He went 2-for-2 at the plate with three RBIs and three runs.
