Fisher-Price Recalls Over 200,000 Toy Sets for Choking Hazard

Fisher-Price issued a major recall on March 21, announcing that the Fisher-Price Little People Mickey and Friends Figures are a choking hazard to young kids.
The official recall from the Consumer Product Safety Commission stated that the Donald Duck and Daisy Duck figures in the set, models HPJ88 and HTW75, have removable heads that can be a danger to kids. Around 204,000 products have been recalled in the U.S., along with over 10,000 in Canada.

Ahead of the recall, Fisher-Price reported three cases of the figures' heads coming off, with one report of a child putting the detached head in their mouth. There were no injuries.
The recall will give owners of the product a refund, with instructions to immediately take the figures away from a child if they are playing with them. Customers can contact Fisher-Price and receive a pre-paid return label to send back only the Donald Duck and Daisy Duck figures to get a $10 refund.

The Fisher-Price Little People Mickey and Friends playset affected by the recall was sold on sites like Amazon.com, Walmart.com, Target.com and similar online stores, as well as Walmart, Kohls, Kroger, Target, Meijer and HEB locations across the country.
The Little People sets appear to be a very popular product from Fisher-Price, with a huge variety of different playsets. Other Disney properties included in the collection are Disney Princess, Frozen, Toy Story and more. Barbie is also a popular property, and last year they released a special Seinfeld edition.
Along with Fisher-Price, Starbucks also put out a major recall this week, recalling about 440,500 mugs that were sold to customers as part of 2023 holiday gift sets due to burn and laceration hazards.
