Blood for Dust's synopsis reads: "Cliff (McNairy), a former salesman with a checkered past, is pulled back into a life of crime after losing his job. Desperate to keep his family afloat, he's lured by his old colleague, Ricky (Harington), into trafficking drugs and guns for a cartel.

"As Cliff delves deeper, his once straight-laced life turns into a high-stakes game of survival."

The exciting new trailer teases what fans can expect, with a snowy landscape providing the setting for tense confrontations and violent shoot-outs between the film's central players.

Directed by Rod Blackhurst, the film also stars Josh Lucas (Yellowstone), Stephen Dorff (True Detective), Ethan Suplee (The Butterfly Effect) and Nora Zehetner (The Right Stuff).

Blood for Dust premiered at Tribeca Festival in June and held its UK premiere at Raindance Film Festival in November.

The film is currently sitting on a score of 84% on Rotten Tomatoes and has received favourable reviews from critics, with Variety comparing it to both Breaking Bad and Fargo.

Back in 2022, Harington spoke about his character Ricky, and how he is very different to his previous roles – including Jon Snow.

"I'm playing a pretty gnarly dude," he said. "It's not necessarily a part that I would generally get offered, and that's quite interesting to me.

"It's fun playing a baddie, I think. I spent a long time playing the epitome of a good, honest human, trying to do the right thing that everyone's rooting for. And maybe this is a reaction to the length of time I was doing that."

Blood for Dust will be released in the US on April 19, with a UK release date yet to be announced.
