Netflix has released the first teaser for South Korean dystopian thriller Badland Hunters, which is coming to the streamer later this month.

A sequel to the 2023 movie Concrete Utopia, in which Seoul is devastated by a major earthquake, Badland Hunters follows the transformation of the metropolis into an apocalyptic wasteland. In the wake of the natural disaster, civilisation has collapsed and survivors resort to whatever means necessary to get by, often going against one another.

The movie from martial arts director Heo Myeong-haeng features Marvel and Train to Busan star Don Lee as Nam-san, a relentless wasteland hunter who's busy getting rid of a crocodile in the clip.

"The world has come to an end. The world calls upon the hunters," the trailer teases as Don's character wields a machete to decapitate the stubborn crocodile.

"Man, that looks delicious," Nam-san says after killing the predator.

Alongside Lee, Badland Hunter stars Lee Hee-joon as Yang Gi-su, Lee Jun-young as Nam's partner Choi ji-wan, Roh Jeong-eui as Suna and Ahn Ji-hye as Eun-ho.

Elsewhere on the streamer, another hero is taking on a mission in a hostile setting in Adam Sandler's new movie Spaceman. The Sandman plays the role of astronaut Jakub who is trying to fix his marriage from space.
