First look at Ted Lasso star in new Disney+ series
Disney+ has released first look images of new fantasy series Renegade Nell starring Ted Lasso's Nick Mohammed and Derry Girls star Louisa Harland.
Harland plays the lead role of Nell, described as a "quick-witted and courageous young woman" who becomes known as the most notorious highwaywoman in 18th Century England after being framed for murder.
Whilst her initial outlook is bleak, Nell soon gets a reminder that her destiny is "bigger than she ever imagined" in the form of a magical spirit called Billy Blind (Mohammed).

The action and fantasy adventure series features an all-star supporting cast, including Fear the Walking Dead's Frank Dillane as Nell's friend Charles Devereux.
Meanwhile, Trigger Point star Adrian Lester appears as the Earl of Poynton, teased as a "master political schemer", who joins forces with young widow Sofia Wilmot (played by actress Alice Kremelberg) determined to destroy Nell.
Line of Duty actor Craig Parkinson stars as Nell's dad Sam, with Joely Richardson appearing as eccentric newspaper magnate Lady Eularia Moggerhanger.

The Crown's Pip Torrens also stars as aristocrat Lord Blancheford, father of widow Sofia and her bullying brother Thomas, played by Jake Dunn.
Plus, Ényì Okoronkwo of The Lazarus Project fame appears as stable boy Rasselas, who helps Nell and her two sisters (newcomers Bo Bragason and Florence Keen) in their quest for freedom.
"Get ready to embark on a daring adventure with Nell Jackson, a highwaywoman with superpowers framed for murder," teases the show's synopsis.
Renegade Nell is set to premiere on Disney+ worldwide sometime in Spring 2024. The show will comprise of eight episodes lasting around 45 minutes long.
The series has been written and created by Happy Valley and Gentleman Jack writer Sally Wainwright, with Sex Education's Ben Taylor in the directing seat.
Renegade Nell will be released on Disney+ in Spring 2024.
