First look at Ozark star Julia Garner's new movie
Ozark's Julia Garner stars in a first look at her new movie, The Royal Hotel.
Written and directed by Kitty Green, The Royal Hotel stars Garner alongside Game of Thrones star Jessica Henwick and The Lord of The Rings' Hugo Weaving.
Inspired by real events, the film follows two best friends named Hanna and Liv (played by Garner and Henwick respectively) as they backpack in Australia. When the duo run out of money on their travels, Hanna and Liv get a job in an Outback bar named The Royal Hotel owned by Weaving's Billy.

Things soon spiral out of control when the people of the mining town introduce the girls to their local drinking culture. Trapped in the middle of nowhere, things turn nasty when the backpackers are subjected to manipulation and mind games.
Taking to Twitter to share a still from the movie, producer and distributor Neon captioned the post: "THE ROYAL HOTEL. A film by Kitty Green. Official Selection at Toronto International Film Festival 2023."
In the newly released snap, Garner and Henwick as Hanna and Liv can be seen sporting huge backpacks and typical backpacking attire as they stand in a desolate landscape.
Meanwhile, earlier this year Garner officially responded to the news that her long-awaited Madonna biopic had been indefinitely postponed.

Garner beat out a number of other actresses to win the role of Madonna, including Marvel's Florence Pugh, and it was officially announced that she would portray the superstar last year.
However, by January this year an announcement was made that production on the film had been postponed by Universal Pictures so that its director Madonna could focus on her upcoming tour.
Speaking of the decision to postpone the movie, Garner remained optimistic that it would eventually go ahead: "I don't want to tell [you] too much. I want to keep things... yeah, fingers crossed."
The Royal Hotel is yet to receive a release date but is expected to premiere this year.
