A first look at Game of Thrones star Nell Tiger Free in The First Omen has been released.

The new movie acts as a prequel to 1976's The Omen, and follows the story of a young woman who is sent to Rome to begin service to the church.

However, she begins to encounter darkness that makes her question her faith and uncovers a conspiracy that hopes to bring about evil incarnate.

Other cast members include Harry Potter's Bill Nighy, Mary Magdalene's Tawfeek Barhom, Kiss of the Spider Woman's Sonia Braga and The Northman's Ralph Ineson.

The original movie starred Gregory Peck and Lee Remick, and follows the story of a man who secretly replaces his and his wife's child after their own biological one dies in childbirth.

His wife is unaware that their son isn’t their own, and five years later supernatural occurrences begin as the father becomes convinced their son is the Antichrist.

Free played the role of Myrcella Baratheon on Game of Thrones for two seasons, though has been more widely known in recent years for playing Leanne Grayson in Apple TV+'s Servant.

The series came to an end this year after four seasons, and producer M Night Shyamalan previously opened up to Digital Spy about why he decided to end the show early.

The First Omen is set for release in the US on April 5, 2024. A UK release date is yet to be confirmed.
