Starring Anthony Hopkins (Silence of the Lambs) as Sigmund Freud, the film picks up at the end of Freud's life when he meets author C.S. Lewis (Goode) on the eve of World War Two. The duo bond as they debate the existence of God and their own beliefs.

It will also explore Freud's relationship with his daughter Anna, as well as Lewis’ unconventional relationship with his best friend’s mother as the narrative jumps between past, present and future.
