First look at Angelina Jolie as iconic singer Maria Callas in new biopic movie
A first look at Angelina Jolie in character as iconic singer Maria Callas has been unveiled.
New movie Maria will tell "the tumultuous, beautiful and tragic story of the life of the world’s greatest opera singer", and is set during her final days in Paris in 1977.
The first stills of the Oscar-winner as Callas have been released, showing Jolie in costumes based on real garments worn by Callas. You can take a look below.

US-born Greek singer Callas was one of the most famous and acclaimed opera singers of the 20th century, and was given the honorific title of 'The Divine One'. Filming on the movie comes ahead of what would have been the star's 100th birthday this December.
The new biopic has been directed by Spencer's Pablo Larraín and written by Peaky Blinders' Steven Knight, who finished work on the screenplay before the recent Writers Guild of America (WGA) strike.
Also set to star are The Power of the Dog's Kodi Smit-McPhee, Portrait of a Lady on Fire's Valeria Golino, Adagio's Pierfrancesco Favino, La Chimera's Alba Rohrwacher, and Winter Sleep's Haluk Bilginer.

Larraín said: “I am incredibly excited to start production on Maria, which I hope will bring Maria Callas’s remarkable life and work to audiences all around the world, thanks to the magnificent script by Steve Knight, the work of the entire cast and crew, and especially, Angelina’s brilliant work and extraordinary preparation.”
Jolie, who won an Academy Award for her role in 1999's Girl, Interrupted, most recently starred in Marvel's Eternals as Thena.
Maria is yet to confirm a release date.
