First Bus staff lose jobs and cautioned over Sprowston 'sex act' photo

Two people have lost their jobs after a photograph was widely shared of a couple "engaging in a sexual activity" by a stationary double-decker bus.

The incident, on a verge in Atlantic Avenue, Sprowston, near Norwich, on 22 March, involved two staff members of First Bus.

The company confirmed no passengers were in the photo and the driver had completed their duties for the night.

Norfolk Police said the pair were given a conditional caution.

A spokesperson from First Bus East of England said: "We have now concluded the investigation into the incident, and I can confirm that any employees involved are no longer with the business.

"At First Bus we expect all our employees to behave appropriately and in line with our company policies and values at all times."

In March, police said it was "aware of an incident of outraging public decency... when two people appeared to be engaging in a sexual activity in public" between 21:00 and 22:00 GMT.

Following an investigation, officers confirmed they had interviewed a man and woman in connection with an incident of outraging public decency and both had subsequently been issued with a conditional caution.
