Fire in streambed north of Reedley contained. Here is the acreage total as of Sunday

Cal Fire and Orange Cove fire crews moved quickly to contain a small but fast-moving fire that started Saturday afternoon in the Wahotke Creek streambed north of Reedley.

The fire, dubbed the Reed Incident, started shortly after 5 p.m. Saturday near Adams and Reed avenues. Cal Fire Battalion Chief John Dominguez reported.

Full containment was achieved Sunday morning, when the size of the vegetation fire was estimated at about 11 acres.

Between Cal Fire’s Fresno County unit and the Reedley and Orange Cove fire departments, the firefight included 10 engines and one bulldozer.
