Fire damages home in Slocomb

SLOCOMB, Ala (WDHN) –Early Tuesday morning, firefighters with Slocomb Fire and Rescue, Fadette Fire, and Malvern Fire rushed to the 100 block of South Hemby Street in Slocomb on reports of a house fire.

According to Slocomb Fire and Rescue, firefighters found a one-story home with visible smoke and flames and immediately began battling the fire, which was quickly controlled.

The residents inside the home evacuated before crews arrived, and no injuries have been reported.

Photos show the inside suffered major damage and at least one part of a wall caved in.
