Tim Cook, Jeff Bezos said to attend WH tech summit, but key players missing

President Trump created The American Technology Council through an executive order in May to "transition and modernize" government information technology and digital services. While some of the most influential tech execs are part of the effort, some key players will be missing from the council.

Apple's Tim Cook and Amazon's Jeff Bezos are among those expected to attend the inaugural meeting, which will be spearheaded by Trump's son in law Jared Kushner, according to Bloomberg.

Missing from the list are Tesla CEO Elon Musk and Disney CEO Robert Iger, who left the Trump's special economic advisory board after the president decided to pull the U.S. out of the Paris Climate Agreement.

Facebook was invited but has not responded.

In December, Trump hosted tech CEO's during his transition period, where he exclaimed that "I'm here to help you folks do well," even after threatening several of the companies in the room for moving operations to other countries among other things.
