Fight breaks out at Arlington pool center involving more than 15 people, officials say

Police are investigating a fight involving more than 15 people Monday at an Arlington pool.

At about 6 p.m., Arlington police officers responded to the Randol Mill Family Aquatic Center to investigate reports of a fight taking place in the parking lot.

After speaking with witnesses, officers learned two groups at the pool got into an argument that spilled out into the parking lot. About 15 to 20 people were involved, police spokesperson Tim Ciesco said.

The situation calmed down once officers arrived and there were no reports of injuries or property damage.

Multiple people received criminal trespass warnings from the pool.

No arrests were made, but citations may be issued pending the outcome of the ongoing investigation, Ciesco said.

The center was closed Tuesday by the Parks & Recreation Department, according to WFAA-TV.

The center is normally closed on Wednesdays, and will reopen Thursday as scheduled, city spokesperson Susan Schrock said.
