‘Feel good’ indie comedy set in Eastern WA now available to rent or buy online

All Sorts, a quirky office comedy by Yakima Valley native Rick Castañeda, is now available to buy and rent on Amazon, GooglePlay, Vimeo and AppleTV.

The movie was shot in Washington’s Yakima Valley in 2018 with a largely Eastern Washington cast and crew.

The executive producer is Martin Valadez, the interim executive director of the Tri-Cities Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, who wanted to support Latino art.

The streaming launch concludes a 6-month theatrical tour that took the film to theaters across the United States for 161 screenings, including a sold out red carpet premiere at the Richland Fairchild Cinemas in March.

The movie centers on Diego, a lonely Data-Mart clerk desperate to find excitement and love, who stumbles into the world of competitive office speed filing with his co-worker June.

The characters are off-beat and the movie has plenty of charm, said reviewers after its initial screenings at film festivals.

“The film is really connecting with larger audiences seeking a feel-good indie movie,” said producer Laura Reich.

Castañeda’s first feature film, “Cement Suitcase,” shot in Prosser, is also available to buy or rent on Amazon Prime Video, and is available for free with ads from Redbox on Demand, Hoopla, and Vudu.
