After eight seasons, several of which left us groaning like zombies, the Walking Dead spinoff’s two-episode send-off on Sunday was one “Are you kidding me?” moment after another. (Read the recap here.) Every time we thought to ourselves, “This can’t possibly get any sillier,” it [bleeping] did.
Guess some things, even a “surprise” cameo by fan favorite Alycia Debnam-Carey as Alicia can’t make better.
Now, ordinarily, we’d wonder if we were being harsh in our estimation of the show’s conclusion; it has been known to happen. But it turned out that we were far from alone in repeatedly facepalming while watching Fear the Walking Dead stumble across the finish line. TVLine readers gave the not-so-grand series finale an average grade of D+. And at last count, 36% of you had assigned it an F. More may even follow when you consider all most some of the mind-boggling questions that the double-header left unanswered.

That’s One Hell of a Splinter
How did Troy walk, run, fight, even remain conscious after being impaled by a tree branch?
Joined at the Hip
Given the fact that they were in constant life-or-death struggles, was it even remotely sensible of Madison to keep herself zip-tied to Troy?
That Sinking Feeling
Quicksand? Really?
Go to the Light
Are we really to believe that not any of the walkers on PADRE island decided to follow the whole group of tasty individuals that was escaping to the docks rather than Madison? How drawn to flares are the undead?
(Much) Stronger Than She Looks
Should we not be surprised that Tracy was able to dig Madison out of the ruins of PADRE and drag her to safety after witnessing the youngster’s previous feat (swimming with her hands tied)?

Why would a group that had been through as much as our protagonists had together decide in the end to all go their separate ways?

Once “Anton” and his family went on their merry way, would Frank and Klaus continue to think of him as Victor… or go back to the “Anton” that they’d (thought they’d) known and loved?

After we watched Alicia “dying” for so many episodes, shouldn’t we have gotten a proper explanation for how she managed to beat her walker infection and return to full health?

Considering the seven-year time jump, exactly how old is Skidmark supposed to be? While we’re on the subject, how long had Alicia been carrying around Daniel’s cat?
Whatever Ya Do, Don’t Call Shotgun
Why on earth would Tracy decide to tag along to L.A. with Madison, whom she’d just seen murder her father in cold blood, and Alicia, a total stranger?
