FBoy Island Season 3 Premiere Recap: A Jokester Gets the Giggles, a Nice Guy Cries, and Several FBoys Get Dumped

FBoy Island is back, bay bay!

The reality dating series from former Bachelor producer Elan Gale made its return on The CW this Monday after being cancelled at HBO Max last December.

Season 3’s double-episode premiere kicked off with three new women — Hali, Daniella and The Bachelorette Season 14 star Katie — hoping to find love among 13 self-proclaimed ‘Nice Guys’ as well as 13 self-proclaimed ‘FBoys.’

The rules this season remained the same: The women must figure out who is a Nice Guy and who is an FBoy. If they choose an FBoy, he will decide whether to split the $100,000 prize or take the money for himself.

The first game tasked the ladies with handing out green flags for the men who made great first impressions and red flags for the ones who didn’t pass the vibe check. The men who received three green flags would earn extra time with the ladies later, so of course they had to show out.

Cue the bad dancing, awkward singing, cringey pickup lines and identical twins EJ and Keem, who both made strong impressions off the bat. We also tip our hat to Bryce for his memorable opener, which included a staged football play with other contestants before saying, “I would be crazy to fumble you girls.”

The first elimination ceremony brought mild drama. Steven ratted out Ian for lying about his age, noting that Ian told the guys he was 22 years old and not 25, like he declared in front of the women. Daniella believed Steven’s accusation and eliminated Ian, who turned out to be an FBoy (and 22!).

Meanwhile, Hali eliminated Sean after being warned he wasn’t there for the right reasons (and who was revealed to be an FBoy), and Katie eliminated Nice Guy Dio, who must have ingested Joker Venom because he could not stop laughing and smiling throughout the ceremony.

In the second hour, Marco — a comedian — tried his best to convince Katie that he wasn’t an FBoy. However, he didn’t help his case by pushing to kiss her so quickly and not even doing a better job at that than fellow contestant Vince. “If I’m being completely honest, Vince is a little bit more in rhythm with my mouth,” Katie said.

Daniella chose to go out with Jared, a 24-year-old entrepreneur. They hit it off on their date, and Katie later warned Daniella that he might be an FBoy after being told as such from the other guys. But it was up to Daniella to decide whether the guys were telling the truth or just trying to get rid of Jared. When she later confronted Jared about why the other guys didn’t like him, he passed it off as being a target because he was strong competition.

Hali picked Evander, much to the twins’ dismay. (Note: We did appreciate EJ’s impression of Good Times’ Florida Evans after being passed over.)  Hali and Evander made a strong connection on their date, which left the other guys wondering where they stood.

When it came time for eliminations, Daniella chose to get rid of Bryce, an alleged Nice Guy, whose not-so-cool reaction suggested otherwise. Hali chose to cut Chris, and it’s a good thing she did because he turned out to be an FBoy who really tried to convince them he was a decent guy despite the self-proclamation. Katie then sent home Tanner, an extremely sensitive Nice Guy, to protect him from the chaotic environment that is this reality series.
