It's farmers market season. Here's where to find them in Chittenden County

Many people link the start of the summer season with the openings of their local farmers markets. If that's the case, summer is about to get started in Chittenden County.

Vermont is a state rich with local farms, producing a range of products from dairy and meat to maple, produce and flowers. Many workshops produce artisanal goods including pastries, beer and wine, jewelry, woodwork and more. Local markets are the place where these makers can individually promote and sell their products and give them a chance to interact with the community and customers.

Nine weekly markets take place across Chittenden County in the summer, with many continuing into the fall. The days and times range across weekdays and weekends, many starting in the morning and some in the late afternoon.
