  • Bradley's reaction to Gaga's performance had A Star Is Born fans commenting like crazy.

Back in 2018 and early 2019, the entire internet was pretty much convinced that Bradley Cooper and Lady Gaga were a thing after seeing their chemistry play out in A Star Is Born. While Gaga vehemently denied that there were any romantic flames between them while filming the movie, a resurfaced clip gives fans a glimpse into what their dynamic was really like behind the scenes.

On the TikTok account @GagaDaily, a video recently emerged of Gaga, Bradley, and other cast members from A Star Is Born seemingly participating in a table read (a.k.a., when actors go through a script together and read their lines aloud). When it came time for Gaga's big crescendo in the song "Shallow," the "Stupid Love" singer took it away in grand fashion. After she finished, the room burst into applause and Bradley gave Gaga a reassuring pat on the back.

Not surprisingly, the video blew up on TikTok, having amassed 11.9 million views so far. The clip was then posted to the AfterBuzzTV Instagram account where it gained even more traction.

Reacting to the video, many fans were particularly caught up on Bradley's face as Gaga sang "Shallow" to the room. As you can see in the clip above, he stared intently at Gaga the whole time while she sang the award-winning song.

"He's speechless ❤️️," one fan wrote on Instagram. "The way Bradley is looking at her 😍," another remarked. A different fan said, "I wish BC would look at me like that ❤️️."

Now would be a good time to point out again that neither Gaga nor Bradley have ever said they are (or were!) anything more than friends. The two reportedly first met back in 2016, when Bradley, who directed the 2018 remake of A Star Is Born, saw Gaga perform Édith Piaf's "La Vie en Rose" at a benefit concert and felt inspired to cast her as Ally.

From there, their friendship blossomed and resulted in red carpet walks, Bradley making surprise appearances at Gaga's Las Vegas residency performances, and, of course, that iconic 2019 Oscars performance of "Shallow."

Despite their connection as friends, Gaga made it crystal clear right after the Oscars that the romance people saw was all just an illusion. "People saw love, and guess what? That’s what we wanted you to see," Gaga told Jimmy Kimmel in February 2019. "This is a love song, 'Shallow.' The movie A Star Is Born is a love story."

Even still, it'll always be fun to look back at the "love" created between these two.
