Fans of 'Warrior Nun' Rejoice! The Show Is Set to Return, But When and Where?

Fans of Warrior Nun can rejoice! Warrior Nun has arisen from the dead! When Netflix canceled the series after two seasons, fans were in an uproar and took to social media to demand a Season 3.

There is more Warrior Nun to come but not as episodic series. Executive producer Dean English took to social media to announce Ava and her warrior nun kin will return as a trilogy of movies.

Producers Simon Barry and English were happy to lead the charge and encouraged fans to tweet and post to social media and the hashtag #SaveWarriorNun gained steam.

Back in June Simon Barry posted on Twitter that the show would return but revealed no other details. At that point, the hashtag #SaveWarriorNun changed to #WarriorNunSaved.

A website called warriornunsaved.com rose up from the depths of the world wide web. English recently posted this video to the site announcing the trilogy.

Based on a comic book series by Ben Dunn, Warrior Nun follows a young woman who wakes up in a morgue with a new lease on life after a divine artifact is embedded her back. She discovers she is now part of an ancient order that has been tasked with fighting demons on Earth, and powerful forces representing both heaven and hell want to find and control her.

According to Deadline, Netflix is not involved in the trilogy. No info was given regarding where the trilogy of movies would land—whether it would premiere in theaters or stream on another platform.

When the trilogy begins filming and if the original cast will return all depends on scheduling and when the WGA and SAG-AFTRA strikes end. Until then, fans can rejoice that there will be more Warrior Nun coming!
