Fans Warn Khloé Kardashian to Be ‘Careful’ After ‘Motivational’ Bikini Snap

What Khloé Kardashian seemingly intended to be an inspirational Instagram post quickly began receiving criticism from fans who said the reality TV star should be doing more to encourage body positivity.

The Kardashians star and some of her family members recently took a trip to Turks and Caicos. Her sisters, Kim and Kourtney, have shared snapshots from their island getaway showing off their beach attire as they posed on white sand beaches and took dips in the gorgeous turquoise water.

In a photo that Khloé, 39, shared on Tuesday, April 16, the reality TV personality was visible from the neck down as she stretched her body out on the sand. She wore a strappy tan bikini and had a black cover-up draped over her shoulders to protect her arms from the sun. In her caption for the photo, Khloé wrote that she was sharing it to get motivated and to encourage herself to “turn up” her intensity at the gym.

“This post is for me to be motivated! Come on Khloé! You got this. Time to turn up the cardio and weights 🏋🏽‍♀️,” her caption said.

But instead of being inspired by the photo, several fans were frustrated by its “weird” caption and the message it sent about women’s bodies. Some urged the mother of two to think more about what she says before sharing messages with her fans, many of whom are girls and young women.

“Please consider the thousands of little girls seeing this and how it could affect their self esteem,” one fan urged, adding that Khloé was “missing an opportunity to create a movement of self love and acceptance for women and girls of all ages.”

The post “isn’t inspiring as you thought it’d be,” another fan said.

“Careful what messages you’re sending to young women,” one Instagram user commented.

“Worst messaging to women, absolutely negligible,” another person wrote.
