Fans Slam GAC Family With Questions After the Network Posts About ‘Christmas in July’ Event

It's officially the summer season, meaning we're about to get a fresh dose of the holiday season. Hallmark has primarily dominated the concept of Christmas in July with their movies that reflect. But it looks like they're not the only ones jumping on that bandwagon.

On July 1, the GAC Family network announced it would be premiering its first-ever Christmas in July movie event. Starting that weekend, the channel began airing all-new films for their viewers to enjoy, featuring stars such as Days of Our Lives actress Jen Lilley, Beverly Hills, 90210 star Jennie Garth, All My Children actor Cameron Mathison and The Bold Type's Sam Page.

"What could make Independence Day weekend better? Christmas movies all weekend long!" they captioned a post on Instagram. "Join GAC Family for its first ever Christmas in July, featuring 24/7 Christmas movies, starting TOMORROW. Tune in to GAC Family on @directv Channel 326 or DIRECTV STREAM to watch Great American Christmas originals all weekend."

This may be an exciting moment for the network's viewers. But truthfully, it only adds fuel to the rivalry between them and Hallmark. In the last few months, many big names attached to the latter channel (like Candace Cameron Bure, Trevor Donovan and Danica McKellar) have been leaving for better deals with GAC Family. But the famed movie channel isn't letting this small hiccup slow them down. In fact, in February, Crown Media (Hallmark's parent company) secured a multi-picture movie deal with Party of Five alum Lacey Chabert.

Despite all the moves GAC Family may be making, it doesn't look like fans know how to access the newly-minted network. In fact, when they made their Christmas in July announcement, the comments section was was flooding with questions.

"Is this on sling yet?? Would love to get it," one fan commented on the announcement post. "Will you ever be viewable on Youtube TV? Please I hope????" another pleaded. "How can I watch on fire stick TV?," one more asked.

Luckily, there are ways to watch GAC Family and enjoy some time in the snow this July. Check it out here:
