Fans React to New Faux Oreo Flavors: 'Needs to Happen'

Oreos

Oreo is driving fans crazy with the possibility of two brand new flavors that cookie lovers are praying will soon become a reality.

The beloved cookie brand teased the new "fake flavors" on social media last week, introducing two flower-inspired varieties: Matcha Oreos and Lavender Creme Flavor Oreos.

"Girls don't want flowers, they want flower-inspired OREO fake flavors," the brand wrote on X (formerly Twitter) on Friday, May 3, alongside photos of the new packages, which apparently don't exist in real life.

But the vibrant packaging and flavor-packed twists on the fan-favorite cookie had fans practically drooling, hoping Oreo would be making the Matcha and Lavender Creme varieties a reality eventually.

"Make it real," one fan implored online, while someone else wrote, "I actually need these."

"Why do they have to be fake tho," another comment read.

"You are literally Oreo you have the power to make them un-fake," someone else wrote to the brand.

But brands teasing new flavors before actually launching them seems to be a new trend going around, as Lay's just recently did the same thing while hinting at a wild new flavor combination with Pepsi.

Over the weekend, both Lay's and Pepsi shared a photo of a new Pepsi Wild Cherry chip flavor, which isn't actually available for purchase at this time—but fans were still excited, nonetheless.

"I NEED IT!! one excited fan wrote on Instagram, while someone else added, "I'll buy your whole stock if this was a real flavor."

It seems that Lay's, Pepsi and Oreo could be trying to test the waters of fan reception before putting their bold new flavors out into the world—and now fans are certainly eager to try them out for themselves!
