If you work with your significant other on DIY projects, chances are you've had a disagreement or two along the way. HGTV stars Ben and Erin Napier have been married for 15 years. They're the parents of two young children, and they work together renovating old homes. So it's reasonable to assume that they've faced a squabble or two.

The couple recently joked about the "true test" of their marriage in a video promoting their HGTV series, Home Town, and fans of the show found it to be so relatable.

The behind-the-scenes clip shows Ben and Erin hanging curtain rods on a sunny back porch during a recent episode. For the typically even-keeled couple, the project brought a bit of drama. Ben had one of the pieces backwards, and Erin dropped a bracket from the ladder and yelled, "no! no! no!"

Ben explains, "You know they say the true test of a marriage is painting a room together." Erin chimes in, and they say in tandem, "No, it's hanging curtains." She calls out her husband for "hate-twisting" the rod, and says, "If you can do it without a cuss out, you're gonna make it."

HGTV shared the video on Instagram with the caption, "When hanging curtains is the ultimate test of your marriage… 😬" Erin shared it on her Instagram Story and wrote, "Find out if our marriage survives this Sunday night 😄."

Fans jumped to the comments section to commiserate, and the overwhelming response for the "true test" of a marriage is hanging wallpaper! One wrote, "Hubby and I do not hang wallpaper together. Or at all. The one time we did was nearly a throw down!" and another said, "Wallpaper. My husband is not allowed anywhere near me when I wallpaper. I prefer he's not even in the house❣️" Other popular answers include installing ceiling fans and assembling IKEA furniture.

Of course, longtime fans of Ben and Erin know this is all in good fun! Still, we'll be tuning in to HGTV on Sunday night to see how this all goes down.
