Wichita State fans have a chance to watch a high-level volleyball match and help those in Florida affected by Hurricane Ian this weekend.

The Shockers were originally scheduled for a Florida road swing at UCF and South Florida this weekend, but those plans have been altered by the impact of Hurricane Ian.

Instead, WSU will host No. 24 UCF at 1 p.m. Sunday at Koch Arena in a showdown between two of the top teams in the American Athletic Conference that will be streamed on ESPN+. There is no charge for admission, but donations to the American Red Cross Hurricane Relief Fund are encouraged.

Parking will be open on a first-come, first-serve basis, while season ticket-holders for WSU volleyball will still have their seats reserved for Sunday’s match.

WSU will not play South Florida this weekend and the scheduled match with the Bulls will not be made up. The Shockers will still host UCF at Koch Arena for the originally scheduled home match on Oct. 30.

Wichita State will also host a neutral-site match between UCF and Tulsa at 4 p.m. Friday at Koch Arena, which will also be free of charge to attend and stream on ESPN+.
