From a family nurse practitioner to 7 agents, here are new hires in the Wilmington area

Alliance for Cape Fear Trees

Alliance for Cape Fear Trees, a nonprofit organization with the mission of preserving, protecting and planting trees in the Wilmington area, has recently hired Dan Camacho as its new executive director. Camacho is a Wilmington resident with experience in start-up and early-stage for-profit and nonprofit organizations. He will manage the operations and supervise strategic planning, activities and events. Camacho currently serves on the board of directors for the Bellamy Mansion Museum.

Dosher Memorial Hospital

Dosher Memorial Hospital announced recently that Deborah Cobb, a board-certified family nurse practitioner, has joined Dosher’s primary care clinic on Oak Island. Cobb graduated from Georgetown University in Washington, DC, with a Master of Science in nursing. She provides primary care services to diverse patient populations and has managed a full spectrum of acute and chronic medical conditions. Cobb also often provides wellness coaching and patient education as it relates to diabetes, cardiovascular disease, weight loss, and more.

Lanier Property Group

Tricia Bennett has recently joined Lanier Property Group, a Wilmington real estate company. Bennett relocated from Connecticut more than 30 years ago. She is set to make a significant impact in the Wilmington real estate market with her diverse background as a former business owner, community advocate, and investor.

Thomas Construction Group

Wilmington-based Thomas Construction Group LLC recently hired Katie Seidel to lead its human resources team in all people-focused areas from recruiting, benefits to performance management and career pathing. Seidel has 17 years of experience as a human resource professional. She has worked in various industries including construction, property management, and IT services. Seidel originally from Smith Mountain Lake, Virginia, graduated from Mary Baldwin College with a Bachelor of Arts in Communications.

Cranfill Sumner welcomes 2 new hires

Cranfill Sumner LLP recently welcome two new employees to its Wilmington office. They are J.D. Fisher and Tammy Neil.

Fisher has joined as an associate attorney, focusing his practice in civil litigation. During law school, Fisher served as a summer clerk for a Charlotte firm. He also interned at the North Carolina Court of Appeals. Fisher also spent a semester working for Blue Ridge Legal Service. Prior to law school, he worked as office staff for two civil litigation firms in Wilmington. Fisher received his law degree from the Washington and Lee University School of Law and his bachelor’s degree from the University of North Carolina Wilmington.

Neil will focus her practice on civil litigation. Neil is a litigation attorney with a wide range of civil litigation experience, including defending carriers in insurance-coverage and bad-faith litigation, etc. She previously practiced law in Dallas, Texas, for more than 20 years and is licensed to practice law in North Carolina, Texas, and Louisiana. Neil received her law degree from Louisiana State University and her bachelor’s degree from Northwestern State University.

Coldwell Banker Sea Coast Advantage welcomes 6 agents

Coldwell Banker Sea Coast Advantage recently welcomed six agents to different offices in the Wilmington area.

Nicole Byrd joined the Wilmington office at Autumn Hall. As a territory sales manager for home décor and gifts, Byrd managed accounts including military and national clients. Byrd is actively involved with the To Write Love on Her Arms, or TWLOHA, suicide prevention organization.

Carly Cottle joins the South Brunswick office. Cottle is a licensed clinical addictions specialist with a master’s degree in social work. Her background in counseling has provided her with empathy and understanding which will allow her to provide exceptional service to her real estate clients.

Jarred Garrison, with a background in sales with Piedmont Natural Gas, is comfortable working with the public. Garrison joined the midtown Wilmington office and is eager to bring his customer service skills to his new career in residential real estate.

Digna Johnson has a long history in banking with a focus on the mortgage industry. She is also fluent in Spanish and English and has a bachelor’s degree in business. Johnson love for exploring homes made transitioning to residential real estate sales a logical choice. She is working in the midtown Wilmington office.

Taylor Reed, having relocated to the Wilmington area in 2017, is currently a resident of Surf City. She is an experienced agent and recently joined the Hampstead office. Reed has focused on building her knowledge of the area and becoming an expert in the local market.

Pon Winstead has joined their Autumn Hall office bringing a variety of skills to the company such as an extensive professional background in customer service and marketing. Winstead spent five years as marketing director for a large manufacturing company based in Winston-Salem. She is a graduate of the University of North Carolina Wilmington where she earned a degree in business management.
