A semitruck driver from Canada died in an industrial accident in Michigan, according to authorities.

Levi Linton of Ontario, Canada, delivered a semitruck-trailer loaded with lumber to Standale Lumber in Grandville, Michigan, the Grandville Police Department said in a Wednesday, Oct. 26 news release.

The lumber was being unloaded around 11 a.m. Wednesday when some of it fell off the trailer and fatally struck the 51-year-old semitruck driver, Grandville police said.

Officers said that the Michigan Occupational Safety and Health Administration will investigate the incident.

Standale Lumber did not respond to McClatchy News’ request for comment.

Grandvalle is about 155 miles northwest of Detroit. The Canadian state of Ontario borders five U.S. states, including Michigan.
