How experts graded NY Jets pick of OT Olu Fashanu in NFL Draft

The New York Jets are trying to make sure Aaron Rodgers is well protected.

So with that in mind, they passed on an opportunity to grab Georgia TE Brock Bowers on Thursday night, instead choosing to beef up their offensive line.

After sliding down one spot in a trade with the Minnesota Vikings, the Jets used their 11th pick in the first round of the 2024 NFL Draft to select Penn State offensive lineman Olumuyiwa Fashanu.

Bert Bainbridge's analysis: This was a bit of a shock given Georgia TE Brock Bowers was still on the board. However, Jets general manager Joe Douglas & Co. decided to add reinforcements to protect QB Aaron Rodgers instead of adding an offensive weapon.
