“Stars and Stripes” contains various media of artwork that explore the symbolism, history and diverse perspectives surrounding the flag, Adrian College said in a news release.

Travis Erxleben, an assistant professor of art, said the exhibit promises to be a thought-provoking and visually stunning experience.

Artists from all over the country submitted their work for consideration. Ninety-one pieces were received from 41 artists, representing 16 states. From those submissions, between 35 and 40 were selected for inclusion.
