Ex-Chiefs QB Chase Daniel’s son was awestruck about being on field before an NFL game

Not many undrafted players have had a career as nice as former Missouri quarterback Chase Daniel.

Despite not hearing his named called during the 2009 NFL Draft, Daniel is now entering his 14th season in the NFL and he’s made nearly $40 million in his career.

After playing four seasons at Mizzou, Daniel has been in the NFL with the Saints, Chiefs, Bears, Eagles and Lions. And now he’s entering his second year with the Los Angeles Chargers.

In the Chargers’ two preseason games, Daniel threw for 238 yards with three touchdowns and no interceptions. Both games have been at SoFi Stadium, so his 4-year-old son, Preston, has been able to watch in person.

Daniel, who played for the Chiefs from 2013-15, shared pregame videos of Preston from both contests, and there are fun.

Before the first game, Preston got to see his dad run from the tunnel but was bummed his dad couldn’t hear him yell from the stands.

On Saturday, Preston got to walk out of the tunnel, and see what it looks like at field level. He was amazed at first and then fell to the ground, and it looked like he might do the Worm.

It was a cute moment.

See? Preseason NFL games are not meaningless to everyone.
