The metal fabrication company EVS Metal is relocating its headquarters from the west side of Pflugerville to the east.

The company is building a 175,000-square-foot facility on 14.5 acres of the One Thirty Business Park in Pflugerville. The new location will be at the intersection of Texas 130 and Pecan Street. The company has been at 400 S. Heatherwilde Blvd. since 2001.

Officials with the Pflugerville Community Development Corporation said they had been working for the past 18 months to find a new location to keep the company in the city.

"The subdivision of this property provided the just-in-time delivery to retain this long-time partner in our community and gave EVS Metal an excellent strategic location for their growing business, Executive Director Amy Madison said in a news release.

A representative with the company said the new location provides easy access to its customers and major transportation routes and will create and retain over 80 jobs.

"Our new facility will allow us to scale our operations and continue delivering the high-quality, precision metal products our customers expect from us," Robert Evans, the vice president of operations, said in a news release. "We are grateful for the support from the PCDC and the local community throughout this process."

The company had its groundbreaking on Feb. 28 and the building is expected to be completed by 2025.
