Evicted Augusta mom seeks help from the Empty Stocking Fund CSRA

A newcomer to Augusta has struggled to find work, was recently evicted from her home and needs help to provide Christmas to her children.

"I applied and got accepted for my kids to receive gifts for Christmas and I’m very appreciative for it. Thank you," the mother said of receiving help from the Empty Stocking Fund CSRA.

"Having support from my neighbors means a whole lot because you never know who’s going through something and who can really be that village to help people out in need," she said.

The Empty Stocking Fund CSRA has helped make Christmas better for those who needed it for more than 90 years. Last year, the charity raised enough money to assist 1,300 children throughout the CSRA. A $35 donation will provide gifts valued at $80-100 for one child this holiday season.

Donating online is private and secure. Your donation will be added to the list of donors that will appear in The Augusta Chronicle during the holidays. If you wish to donate anonymously, please type “anonymous” in the acknowledgment field of the donation section.

Donations will appear as “Community Foundation for the CSRA” on your bank or card statement.

Donations can be made online at www.emptystockingfundcsra.org or mailed to Empty Stocking Fund, P.O. Box 31358, Augusta, GA 30903. Donations are tax-deductible.
